Terms of Use for Online Courses

Please read these terms carefully before using our courses. They govern the contractual relationship between you and acumenature.com.

1. Scope and Provider

These terms of use apply to all online courses offered via the website acumenature.com (hereinafter "Provider"). The provider is acumenature GmbH, Thomasgasse 8, reachable at info@acumenature.com.

By booking a course, you accept these terms. Deviating regulations require written confirmation from the provider.

2. Service Description and Course Content

The courses convey scientifically based content from the fields of natural sciences and sustainable development. Each course consists of video lessons, written materials, and optional exercises.

The exact content, duration, and learning objectives are described on the respective course page. The provider strives for timeliness and accuracy but assumes no liability for the completeness of the information provided.

  • The courses are designed as a continuing education offering and do not replace formal academic training.
  • Access to course content is granted after successful booking for the agreed usage period.

3. User Rights and Obligations

You undertake to use the course content only for personal, non-commercial purposes. Passing on, reproducing, or making the materials publicly accessible without the express consent of the provider is prohibited.

You are responsible for the security of your access data. If you suspect misuse, please inform us immediately by email.

4. Payment Terms and Right of Withdrawal

The course fees are due before the course starts and are stated on the invoice. Payment is made by bank transfer or credit card.

As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period begins after the contract is concluded. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send the withdrawal notice to info@acumenature.com in good time.

In the event of a withdrawal, we will refund the course fees already paid within 14 days. Course content already used will be charged proportionately.

5. Limitation of Liability

The provider is fully liable for damages resulting from intent or gross negligence, as well as for the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations). In cases of simple negligence, liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage under the contract.

Liability for indirect damages, in particular lost profits, is excluded to the extent permitted by law. The aforementioned limitations of liability do not apply in the event of injury to life, limb, or health.

6. Termination and Expiration

Access to the courses ends automatically after the booked usage period expires. Premature termination is only possible for good cause, for example, in the event of serious contractual breaches by the provider.

The provider can block access to a course with immediate effect if you violate these terms, in particular through unauthorized distribution of content.

7. Changes to the Terms

The provider reserves the right to change these terms of use with effect for the future. You will be informed of significant changes by email. If you do not object within four weeks, the changed terms will be deemed accepted.

In the event of an objection, you have the right to terminate the contract at the time of the change.

8. Final Provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. The place of performance and exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is, to the extent permitted by law, the registered office of the provider.

Should a provision of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a regulation that comes closest to the economic purpose.
